Since 1832 years, under the name “Vieböck”, linen and cotton fabrics have been created in traditional “Mühlviertler” stripes and check patterns, but also in advanced, modern designs.
“For many people it has become very important to know where the raw material comes from and how or where it is produced. For us, the title “Mühlviertler Weaving” is an obligation and we do not go down the road of outsourcing”, says Managing Director Johann Kobler. We – my staff and I – have our deep roots in this region and feel cordially connected. The high-quality yarns come exclusively from spinning mills in Europe. Ecology, sustainability and honest transparency of products are important topics at Vieböck. Particular emphasis is placed on the fact that the yarns come from environmentally friendly and sustainable cultivation. No chemical agents are used in the production of the fabrics and the finishing is done mechanically and naturally. Since 1832 years, under the name “Vieböck”, linen and cotton fabrics have been produced in traditional “Mühlviertler” stripes and check patterns, but also in further developed, modern designs. The Mühlviertler linen weaving mill is one of the oldest and most traditional companies in Austria.
The fabrics leave the house either as a piece of fabric, e. g. for costumes and clothing, or they are assembled in the house’s own sewing shop into ready-made bed linen, table linen, curtains, hand towels and bathrobes.
