The waffle pique crystal is traditionally woven in Austria and hemmed without a border. The fabric shrinks by about 7% in width and therefore you get the desired shawl slightly larger. It's the right size after the first wash. The fabric is 1.55 m wide and has a basis weight of 270 g/sqm. The material is 100% cotton. The color white can be washed at 95 degrees, all other colors are washable at 60 degrees.
The weaving mill Kitzmüller is based in Guglwald, in the beautiful Mühlviertel. The family weaves fabrics out of pure fibers since 1928. At that time, the flax was processed into linen by the farmers in the winter months. Nowadays, textiles are still completely produced in the weaving mill. Kitzmüller respects diversity and companies' old traditions with modern esthetics in textiles.
